Experience A Full-Flavored Life

Experience A Full-Flavored Life

By Paul Wilson Jr. www.DreamBIGin3D.com

Rumor has it that people are willing to pay a premium for coffee at Starbucks, not just because of the coffee itself, but because of the “experience.”

If that’s true, then a full-flavored life is about the “experience” not just the time lived.

I am by no means a coffee connoisseur. If I drink coffee it has to have a good amount of sugar and cream (I especially like flavored cream). I am just as likely to indulge a 99-cent cup from McDonald’s as I would a $4 grande from Starbucks – as long as it has lots of sugar and cream…

For those who are coffee connoisseurs, how often do you think about what it takes to provide you with a great java experience? Have you ever thought about what the beans have to go through to get to the point where they provide the fresh taste, pleasing aroma, and comforting warmth that you come to expect from a superb cup of coffee.

Coffee beans in their natural form don’t taste very good. They have to go through a long, strenuous process of grinding, heating, and (in my case) sweetening in order to be desired and enjoyed. Without this process, the full-flavored potential of the coffee bean is never achieved.

A full-flavored life is one where you are able to achieve your full potential in terms accomplishing your purpose, pursuing your passions, and leveraging your professional skills to create wealth.

When you are flowing in all these areas simultaneously your life experience will have a fresh taste, pleasing aroma, and comforting warmth. Not only will you enjoy your life, others also will have a positive experience and lasting impression as they engage and interact with you.

Like the best coffee, achieving a full-flavored life involves a process similar to the coffee bean – grinding, heating, and sweetening:

Grinding: Tough situations and circumstances that press the mess out of you, so that you can be pure in your intentions and motivations.

Heating: Challenging events that serve to forge your character, i.e. the times you are compelled to do the right thing even when you don’t want to.

Sweetening: Rich and refreshing experiences that make life worth living – relationships, recreation, relaxation, and other rejuvenating rewards.

I’ve heard people say that life is a grind. When I really think about it, they are absolutely correct. So why not use the grind to your advantage? Like the coffee bean, the grind should help to make you better not bitter.

You may or may not be a coffee connoisseur, but you are a life connoisseur. You should want to indulge in the best that life has to offer. Just understand that enjoying a full-flavored life is going to cost you something, whether you want to pay the price or not. However, when you do pay the price, it will be an experience worth enjoying over and over and over again! Drink up!

When you work on altering your life, success is going to be your main goal. All efforts will mean nothing when you achieve nothing in the end. To ensure success, you need to have the right tools and the following are quite essential for you to have:

Passion. Passion is a natural fuel that allows a person to break through barriers. It gives one the natural angst to want success and it empowers even the weakest person.

Hunger for learning. Wisdom and knowledge allows a person to spread his wings and enables him to reach out to borders he normally cannot reach. Your hunger for learning will teach you to be ambitious.

Self-awareness. You have to know who you are and you have to get in tune with your strengths and your weaknesses, so that you can use them well in your endeavors.

Boldness. Risks are hard to take but those who gain the courage to go outside the box achieve things that will set them apart from all the others. Risks are dangerous about they can make a big difference in your life.

Vision. What do you want to achieve? You should be able to picture your dreams and you should not be limited by society and your own fears. Picture success and picture yourself in it.

When to Change

Change is part of life and if you are experiencing the following things, then you should start finding a way out of your miserable life:

Are you having trouble committing to something? You have great dreams and you have awesome ideas. You find it quite easy to set yourself to do something, but you are unable to finish what you’ve started. Often times, you easily lose focus and you jump to other things, as easily as you have gone to the last thing you have tried to do.

Are you always thinking of quitting? You have very poor survival skills. At a small sign of a threat, you cower and back down. You are a coward and you are afraid of risks.

Are you always feeling victimized? No matter what you do, you are oppressed and put down by the people you deal with. People always find fault at what you do and you cannot please anyone.

Are you always stuck in the same situation? Your life is wretched and every time you get yourself out of a situation, you end up being back there again. It is like you are destined to live the life that you have now.

Are you unable to forgive yourself? Have you done something wrong that has caused some catastrophic effects in your life? Forgiveness is not only for others, it is also for yourself. You cannot dwell on the wrong things you have done. You have to forgive yourself and learn from your mistakes, instead.

If any of these apply to you, then now would be a good time for you to consider change and work towards personal growth.
