Perhaps you read my previous post about ways to make money. In this economy and in such uncertain times everyone seems to be more open to starting their own business and/or seizing business opportunities.
I was approached with an opportunity by a close and trusted family friend. Admittedly, I was turned off by the name (Narc That Car). Where I’m from the term “Narc” is neither cool or acceptable to be associated with…However, I agreed to take a look at it with an open mind despite the name.
This is my assessment based on my findings from speaking to an active Independent Representative, participating in a conference call, and visiting the website.
The Video Here:
NARC Technologies was founded in Dallas Texas two years ago by Bill Forester. The company compiles location data into its national database for lien holders, law enforcement, and other agencies. The data is gathered by Independent Representatives across the country also referred to as Data Collectors. These Independent Representatives accumulate a minimum of ten license plate numbers monthly and are paid commissions for their efforts. The data is then added to the NARC Technologies database that lien holders and other entities pay to access.
The company’s Data Collectors also receive payouts for recruiting and training new Data Collectors. Another source of income for Data Collectors is acquiring clients that purchase access to the location data.
After analyzing the commissions break down, it is fair to say that Narc That Car does not fit the model of a get rich quick scheme. The payouts are relatively moderate. However, a Data Collector producing big numbers can potentially make a lot of money over time just on residuals.
Like most business opportunities, they offer a “Start Up Bonus” for new reps. The difference is the goals and requirements to be eligible for the bonus are actually achievable the same day that a new rep joins. They send out a $50 bonus just for gathering the 1st ten license plate numbers. The company makes it easy for the new rep to recoup their investment for joining, which is $100. The “Start Up Bonus” ranges from $50- $125.
The Pros:
1. Inexpensive sign up fee.
2. No selling involved.
3. No autoship products to buy or try.
4. You never have to host a meeting or party in your home.
5. No ridiculous income claims.
The Cons:
1. It costs $100 to join in an economy where every penny counts.
2. No name recognition, people sometimes fear the unknown and this company is unknown.
3. Sounds too easy and too good to be true.
4. Writing down other people’s license plates to put in a database seems creepy.
5. Too new to measure Independent Representative’s success rates.
Well after weighing all of the pros and cons on February 4th I joined. On February 5th I collected and entered my 1st ten license plate numbers which generated a bonus of $50 (which I should be receiving in the next 2 weeks). I’ll keep you posted as to how it all works out. I’m not trying to convince you to join. I’m just sharing the information and letting you know that the opportunity exists. Of course there are many other ways to make money (and I talk about them on this blog all of the time). However, if you’d like more information about the Narc Technologies (Narc That Car) opportunity and joining my team feel free to email me or visit: http://narcthatcar.marenda.biz

After joining I was approached by a different associate with a different but somewhat similar opportunity called Data Network Affiliates also known as DNA. What stands out most about DNA is its in pre-launch and at the time of this writing its FREE to join. With that said people are quick to join DNA because its free. Other than being free there are additional differences between the two opportunities that should be looked at before making a final decision on which is best.
