If you think you cant do something flying or what ever, watch this. I was very moved by this young ladies ablities, but may be her attitude was even more impressive. This young woman, Jessica Cox was born with out arms and learned to fly. As a former flight instructor and a professional airline pilot. I can tell you this is really an inspirational thing to everyone, much less pilots. Way to go Jessica. Watching her fly so smoothly and confidently is very impressive (even with two arms). Trust me I know, nicely done. Wish I had this video when I was teaching full time. The plane she is flying is called an Ercoupe (pronounced air-coupe) which does have rudder pedals. The Ercoupe was made in the late 40s and early 50s. The unique thing about Ercoupe is its one of the few airplanes to be made and certified with out pedals. With out rudder pedals Jessica is free to use her feet as hands. There have been other handicapped pilots who convert and modify controls of other planes but Jessicas plane is stock. I belive shi is the only one to fly with no arms in a stock or modified plane of any kind.

During my college days at good ole Hampton, I learned an important lesson that:
1. I’ll never forget.
2. I apply to all areas of my life.
3. I share with loved ones…
Are you ready for this amazing and profound lesson that I had to travel three thousand miles to learn? (smile) Here it is:
EXCUSES
“Excuses Are B.S. That No One Wants To Hear, Excuses Are Tools Of Incompetence Which Build Monuments Of Nothingness, And Those That Specialize In Using Them—Rarely Accomplish Anything.”
Stop making excuses and start making it happen
No more I can’t because or would’ve, could’ve, and should’ve!
So the next time you fix your mouth to say “Yeah But” I hope you’ll remember Excuses.
What Would Your Life Be Like Without Excuses? EXCUSES BEGONE!

Random acts of kindness and doing things from the heart expecting nothing in return is fundamental to living life abundantly.
I love surprising friends and family by snail mailing greeting cards just because. I know it’s always a pleasure to receive something other than a bill or advertisement in the mail. Writing a letter, or sending a card is a simple gesture that means so much. Taking time out of your day to remember, acknowledge, and/or uplift someone else is a great way to show that you care. Emails, IM’s, and phone calls are great but there’s nothing like receiving a thinking of you in the mail.
Recently a family member surprised me with an inspirational greeting card that couldn’t have come a better time. The words in the card were as if it were written just for me. I share them with you because perhaps its just what you need to read at this very moment… Read the full story
