When it comes to Christmas gifts many people prefer something store bought over something home made. Would you rather have that hot IPOD you’ve been eye balling all year or a sweater your sister spent months knitting?
Personally, I believe its the thought that counts. Nobody owes you anything. If someone uses their own resources to present you with a gift…no matter what the gift is…shouldn’t you appreciate the fact that they even thought of you?
A home made gift means the person took TIME to actually CREATE something with THEIR OWN HANDS especially for YOU.

Having worked years in retail I don’t shop the day after Thanksgiving… or the day after Christmas… Brings back too many unhappy memories. Retail is a grueling thankless job especially this time of year!
Holiday shopping is never something I look forward too. Why? Because people are rude, pushy, and overly aggressive.
The holiday spirit of peace, love, and joy turns ugly when it comes to shopping. Today a man was trampled to death by a stampede of eager shoppers at a Wal Mart in green acres mall. He worked at the store and was simply doing his job.

In times when it seems that the world is going to hell in a gasoline handbasket I still believe in miracles. I’ve been blessed and am blessed daily and have no choice but to believe in miracles. In my 32 years I’ve seen and experienced some things that cannot be explained.
mir·a·cle
An event that appears inexplicable by the laws of nature and so is held to be supernatural in origin or an act of God.
As November becomes December and we get in a frenzy about the holidays its important that we not lose sight as to what the holidays are really about…the holiday season is rooted in MIRACLES.

It’s been a long time since I’ve done a Christmas list that was actually of things that I want not things that I want to buy for other people. This year I’m going all out. I figure Santa has gotten high tech so to make sure he gets my wish list I thought I’d post it here in the form of a letter. I’m certain he reads my blogs daily so there is no possible way for this to slip by him.
Dear Santa,
I haven’t asked for anything since 1992. Its been 15 years that should count for something right? (smile). I tried emailing you but it kept bouncing back. I was wondering if you save letters and Christmas lists for future use? Every year I seem to get something that I asked for years before.
I thought it best I tell you to please hold off on the pony until further notice. I figured using the Internet would expedite the process and perhaps ensure that my 2007 list is actually processed in 2007.
Anyhoo, I know you’re really busy especially with all the toy recalls… I heard due to hard times you had to lay off most of your elves and do some outsourcing to China for toys. I’m sure the whole lead issue has thrown a monkey wrench in your plans.
