Making Your Own YouTube Videos

Believe it or not, there was a time when the internet was used only for research. Now the Internet is a means of communicating thoughts and ideas, as well as a source of entertainment.

With the increasing popularity of websites like Youtube, every day people (like you and me) are making and publishing their own videos. Some people make videos to rant, rave, sell products, promote their business, or just share information.

Bloggers have started a popular trend known as V blogging. Yes, the V stands for video.

V-Blog or V-Blogging = Video Blog or Video Blogging

V-blogging is perfect when you don’t have the time or inclination to write. You simply push record, talk to the camera, hit stop when you’re done, and upload it. That’s it. No proofreading. No writers block.

I’ve been experimenting with the V-blogging notion. Over the past two weeks I’ve created several videos for other purposes. Last night before counting sheep, I made my first V-blog. Here it is:

To upload your videos to YouTube, sign up to be a member. Membership is free and the signup process is easy. Once you signup as a YouTube member, (add me as a friend) start uploading your videos.

What Entrepreneurs Should Know About Blogging

Learning to blog can be a frustrating process but if you are an entrepreneur looking to establish an Internet presence, blogging is a must. According to recent studies:

→ More than 147 million Americans use the Internet.
→ 22 of the 100 most popular websites in the world are blogs.
→ Over 12 million American adults currently maintain a blog.
→ Over 57 million Americans read blogs.
→ Blog readers average 23 hours online each week.
→ 51% of blog readers shop online.

Are you beginning to understand the power of blogging? Some people learn how to blog by trial and error. People that are serious about blogging learn from experienced bloggers. Blogging has become an effective tool for marketing, promoting, activism, self expression, sharing information, and heightening awareness.

I think that every entrepreneur should take the time and make the investment in learning how to blog. I’ll be honest with you. When it comes to blogging, there is so much to learn. I’m still learning (daily). However, just as there is much to learn, there is much gain, especially for entrepreneurs!

One of my best friends started a business last year and asked me to help her set up a blog. She’s an attorney and doesn’t have a lot of time for trial and error methods. She has committed herself to learning as much about blogging as possible. Not to toot my own horn or anything…but with my help, her blog is not only doing extremely well (she’s won some awards, gotten rave reviews, received offers from advertisers, and has a Google PageRank of 3). She has also started 3 other blogs!

If you are an entrepreneur here is what you need to know about blogging:

  • How to Choose A Domain Name
  • Which Blogging Platform to Use
  • How to Set Up Your Blog
  • How to Update Your Blog
  • Which Plugins to Use
  • How to Create Content
  • How to Drive Traffic to Your Blog
  • How to Use Social Bookmarking
  • How and When to Write a Press Release
  • How to Increase Your Blogs Rankings
  • How to Monetize Your Blog
  • How to Use RSS

Don’t let this list intimidate you. If you have the time and patience to learn about blogging, there are several books, online courses, and systems that will guide you through the process. Last week I had an opportunity to review a powerful training system for aspiring bloggers that provides all of the aforementioned and more. I wish the information was available when I first started blogging…it would’ve saved me some time and frustration. Check it out Here.

I also suggest exploring my list of Top 50 Best Blogs to get an idea of what experienced bloggers are doing.

Many of these bloggers offer tutorials and advice on blogging.

I have learned a great deal about blogging from these bloggers, from books, webinars, online courses, trial and error, and independent research.

As I said before, I’m still learning.

Website owners, Internet Marketers, and Bloggers all want more visitors/readers…so it’s all about getting the word out, building quality links, and SEO right? Here’s a free, yes FREE method designed to increase those links and get more subscribers. I came across this on The King Kong Blog and thought I’d give it a go :) Team work makes the dream work. You should also join the Do Follow List

#Start copy here#

The idea is simple: You want readers and you want link backs too because that’s all us bloggers want, it’s more precious than milk for some

So how does it work?

Simple! You just copy the list down below on your blog, hence creating link backs for your blogging friends and then click the RSS feed link to subscribe to all of them. Then you add yourself and up to 5 other bloggers and their feeds to the list before you publish it on your own blog. Show your friends some link love

Just imagine if just 10 people would do this and then 10 more after them. That would get your blog 100 extra link backs and 100 extra feed subscribers!

The Original List:

#End copy here#
Happy linking :)
