A Creed To Live By

I believe in myself.
I believe in those who work with me.
I believe in my employer.
I believe in my friends.
I believe in my family.

I believe that God will lend me everything I need with which to succeed if I do my best to earn it through faithful and honest service.

I believe in prayer and I will never close my eyes in sleep without praying for divine guidance to the end that I will be patient with other people and tolerant with those who do not believe as I do.

I believe that success is the result of intelligent effort and does not depend upon luck or sharp practices or double-crossing friends, fellow men or my employer.

I believe I will get out of life exactly what I put into it, therefore I will be careful to conduct myself toward others as I would want them to act toward me.

I will not slander those whom I do not like.

I will not slight my work no matter what I may see others doing.

I will render the best service of which I am capable because I have pledged myself to succeed in life and I know that success is always the result of conscientious and efficient effort.

Finally, I will forgive those who offend me because I realize that I shall sometimes offend others and I will need their forgiveness.

This is what Living Life Abundantly is about…

How To Get What You WANT Through The Law Of Abundance

The Law Of Abundance is the belief that what you want is accessible to you in unlimited numbers. People who understand this law believe that there is always more than enough for everyone. There is no need to worry about scarcity or running out… There is no limit to what we can have, if we believe in the Law Of Abundance. The universe creates everything in unlimited numbers and you can have as much of what ever you want as you want, according to the Law Of Abundance.

“We live in an abundant universe where there is an ample supply of money for all those who really want it. To achieve financial independence, make a decision today to accumulate wealth and then do what others have done before you to accomplish the same goal.” —Brian Tracy

Many people try to manifest the Law Of Abundance by writing out a check to themselves for a certain sum of money, usually for one million dollars. Writing a check to yourself is in essence a visualization technique to maintain your focus on financial prosperity. Positive visualization is when you want something, and you focus on it while believing that it is indeed possible regardless of your current circumstances.

When you write a check, and either keep it with you or keep it in a safe place, you are committing an act of faith.

“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”—The Bible

You are believing that you are not just wasting a check and doing a silly wishful thinking activity. Moreover, the act of looking at the check frequently, which you are supposed to do, keeps this belief fresh in your mind.

The general consensus is if you planning to exercise the check method, the check must be made out to you, with your full name. You write “paid in full” in the memo line, and then sign it, not with your name, but with “Law Of Abundance.” Some say to date it, some say not to date it. Some say to leave the amount blank so you can attract whatever amount you need.

There are a number of successful people who have actually written checks to themselves for a million dollars or more and then achieved that success. Jim Carrey is a prime example. As the story goes he was broke and struggling (before he made it big obviously) and had a moment of clarity in which he decided to write a check to him self for millions of dollars “for acting services rendered”. He carried that check around in his wallet… now look at him.

Are you ready to write that check?

Some people have come up with very strange rituals surrounding the check writing technique…some say that the check must be filled out on the first new moon of the year, or within a number of hours of the first new moon to guarantee prosperity for that year. Whether or not you write the check at all, let alone write it during that first new moon, you can start to attract prosperity now.

You can, of course, write a check at any time and keep it with you or keep it where you’ll see it frequently.

Writing that check, though, simply represents an act of faith. Faith that you’re writing it for a reason and that it will work. The Law Of Abundance doesn’t require that paper check to bring good things to you.

Rather, it’s your attitude and your ability to visualize and believe that you’ll get what you need that will do it. Writing a check is just a physical manifestation of that belief.

So anything you can do to physically manifest your belief that you will succeed financially can help. Whether you write a check, or keep an altered $1 bill where you can see it, it’s your belief that lets the Law Of Abundance provide you with financial prosperity.

My New Address

(this was shared with me today and I find it inspirational…enjoy)   ~author unknown

I wanted you to be the first to know that I have moved and to give you my new home address: I have moved from Beggars Alley located on Poverty Lane at the corner of Bleak and Busted Circle. As of today, I have a brand new home.

My new address is: 123 Living Well Drive in the Abundance Subdivision, located at the corners
of Blessings Street and Thankful Peak. You get there by taking the Praising Him Interstate, which runs North, South, East and West.

I no longer have to travel on Begging Peter to pay off Paul Route, because it is located at a dead-end intersection called: I Don’t Have, that crosses Borrowers’ Junction & Complaining Lane. THAT road does not lead to my new home.

I no longer hang out at Failure’s Place near Excuses Avenue, near the Procrastination Mall. I have moved on to an upscale community called Higher Heights with unlimited potential and opportunities for me to Succeed—-can’t you tell? Just look at me!

I met the neighbors and I love living next to them. Let me tell you about my new neighbors: The IT Family: Mr. CONCEIVE IT, Mrs. BELIEVE IT and sister ACT ON IT. Then there’s FAITH & HOPE from next door, Ms. PERSISTENT & Mr. POSITIVE across the street, Steve & Eve ACHIEVE from down the street AND my favorite neighbors are the family who live in a beautiful High Rise on the Penthouse Floor. The head of the house is God, he’s the Father, Jesus, his only Son and H.S. (who’s hardly home because he’s always traveling, he’s a real people person).

It’s a beautiful day in the neighborhood! The best thing is that if you’re tired of living where you’re living, there are TONS of homes for sale in my new neighborhood!

Oh, just one thing I want to warn you about. There’s this Big DOG named BLESSINGS and every single time I leave my house he chases me down and overtakes me!! It’s like he’s everywhere!! I see Blessings in the city and Blessings in the fields, I see blessings when I come and when I go!! Since I can’t get away from him, I’ve learned to just expect him and Embrace him. Good thing he doesn’t bite!!

I am so thankful to be a product of my new environment. All of my clothes are now custom designed by the MASTER TAILOR and MADE to fit just me. I am dressed in life’s finest!! I have a new walk and a new talk all because I CHOSE TO MOVE!!

Life is good because: God is good.  Have you moved too?

I Believe

Got this via email forward from my life long friend Shonda! enjoy :)

I Believe…

A Birth Certificate shows that we were born.

A Death Certificate shows that we died Pictures show that we lived!

Have a seat . . . Relax . . . And read this slowly.

I Believe… That just because two people argue, it doesn’t mean they don’t love each other. And just because they don’t argue, it doesn’t mean they do love each other.

I Believe… That we don’t have to change friends if we understand that friends change.

I Believe… That no matter how good a friend is, they’re going to hurt you every once in a while and you must forgive them for that.

I Believe… That true friendship continues to grow, even over the longest distance. Same goes for true love.

I Believe… That you can do something in an instant that will give you heartache for life.

I Believe… That it’s taking me a long time to become the person I want to be.

I Believe… That you should always leave loved ones with loving words… It may be the last time you see them.

I Believe… That you can keep going long after you think you can’t.

I Believe… That we are responsible for what we do, no matter how we feel.

I Believe… That either you control your attitude or it controls you.

I Believe… That heroes are the people who do what has to be done when it needs to be done, regardless of the consequences.

I Believe… That money is a lousy way of keeping score.

I Believe… That my best friend and I, can do anything, or nothing and have the best time.

I Believe… That sometimes the people you expect to kick you when you’re down, will be the ones to help you get back up.

I Believe… That sometimes when I’m angry I have the right to be angry, but that doesn’t give me the right to be cruel.

I Believe… That maturity has more to do with what types of experiences you’ve had and what you’ve learned from them and less to do with how many birthdays you’ve celebrated.

I Believe… That it isn’t always enough, to be forgiven by others. sometimes, you have to learn to forgive yourself.

I Believe… That no matter how bad your heart is broken the world doesn’t stop for your grief.

I Believe… That our background and circumstances may have influenced who we are, but, we are responsible for who we become.

I Believe… That you shouldn’t be so eager to find out a secret… It could change your life Forever.

I Believe… Two people can look at the exact same thing and see something totally different.

I Believe… That your life can be changed in a matter of hours by people who don’t even know you.

I Believe… That even when you think you have no more to give, when a friend cries out to you – you will find the strength to help.

I Believe… That credentials on the wall do not make you a decent human being.

I Believe… That the people you care about most in life are taken from you too soon.

I Believe… ‘The happiest of people don’t necessarily have the best of everything; they just make the most of everything.’ Amen!

The Unemployed Graduate

I received this touching email forward the other day, enjoy :)

“The unemployment rate — now at a five-year high of 6.1 percent — is expected to hit 7 or 7.5 percent by late 2009…”–AP

An unemployed graduate woke up one morning and checked his pocket. All he had left was $10. He decided to use it to buy food and then wait for death as he was too proud to go begging. He was frustrated as he could find no job; nobody was ready to help him.

He bought food and as he sat down to eat, an old man and two little children came along and asked him to help them with food as they had not eaten for almost a week. He looked at them. They were so lean that he could see their bones coming out. Their eyes had gone into the socket.

With the last bit of compassion he had, he gave them the food. The old man and children prayed for him that will bless and prosper him and then gave him a very old coin.

The young graduate said to them “you need the prayer more than I do”.

With no money, no job, no food, the young graduate went under the bridge to rest and wait for death. As he was about to sleep, he saw an old newspaper on the floor. He picked it up, and suddenly he saw an advertisement for people with old coins to come to a certain address.

He decided to go there with the old coin the old man gave him. On getting to the place, he gave the proprietor the coin. Alas, the proprietor screamed, brought out a big book and showed the young
graduate a photograph. this same old coin was worth $3M. The young graduate was overjoyed as the proprietor gave him a bank draft for $3M within an hour. He collected the Bank Draft, went in search of the old man and little children.

By the time he got to where he left them eating, they had gone. He inquired from the owner of the canteen who told him that they even left a note for him. He quickly opened the note thinking it would lead him to find them.

But alas, the words in the note reads thus:

“You gave us your all and we have rewarded you back with the coin”
Signed God the Father,
The Son and The Holy Ghost.

Have you given all to Jesus Christ? If you haven’t, do so today and he will surprise you.

PRAYER:
Here is your financial blessing! It’s a simple prayer, you got 30 seconds?

Heavenly Father, most Gracious and Loving God, I pray to you that you abundantly Bless my family and me. I know that you ecognize, that a family is more than just a mother, father, sister, brother, husband and wife, but all Who believe and trust in you.

Father, I send up a prayer request for financial blessing for not only the person who sent this to me, but for
Me and all that I have forwarded this message on to. And that the power of joined prayer by those who believe and trust in you is more powerful than anything. I thank you in advance for your blessings.

Father God, deliver the person reading this right now and those who will read it in the near future from debt and debt burdens. Release your Godly wisdom that I may be a good steward over all that You have given me Father, for I know how wonderful and mighty you are and how if we just obey you and walk in your word and have the faith of a Mustard seed that you will pour out blessings.

I thank you now Lord for the recent blessings I have received and for the blessings yet to come Because I know you are not done with me yet.
In Jesus name,
I pray, Amen

Only Believe

a word of encouragement for those going through hard times, may this lift your spirit :)

ONLY BELIEVE

Has that trial in your life been going on so long
That everything in you screams, “This is so wrong.”

You can’t understand, it seems God is far away
As with tears you cry out to Him everyday,

If you read God’s Word His truth you will see
That He has a job for you and a job for me,

ONLY BELIEVE! is what He has to say
At His feet this problem you must lay,

In His time and in His way
An answer to your problem will be there one day,

Keep on believing, don’t lose hope
He’ll give you His grace enabling you to cope,

Keep your eyes on Him as to to Him you cleave
He has promised He will never forsake you or leave,

Give Him time to work it all out
The devil just wants you to worry and doubt,

Praising Him is one thing He’s looking for
To bless you is what He has in store,

So no matter what, even when you don’t understand
ONLY BELIEVE! that’s what moves His hand.

The Bigger The Lie, The More The People Believe

“Americans are stupid people by and large. We pretty much believe whatever we are told.” —The Wire

TheWireAfter waiting a year for the final season of the best show on television, HBO delivered the goods last night with the premiere of season five: Read Between the Lines.

The Wire is known for authentically depicting all aspects of urban life. Every episode peels back layers of hidden truths that are often startling, uncomfortable, and unforgettable. The season premiere packed a major punch that should serve as a serious wake up call to us all:

The Bigger The Lie, The More They Believe!

Would you say that this is a true statement? Most of us would like to believe that we are highly intelligent…too smart to be hoodwinked or bamboozled. Perhaps some of us are…However, its the majority of us that counts. Considering this is an election year, this assertion is worth examining because Read the full story

I Believe in Miracles

In times when it seems that the world is going to hell in a gasoline handbasket I still believe in miracles. I’ve been blessed and am blessed daily and have no choice but to believe in miracles. In my 32 years I’ve seen and experienced some things that cannot be explained.

mir·a·cle
An event that appears inexplicable by the laws of nature and so is held to be supernatural in origin or an act of God.

As November becomes December and we get in a frenzy about the holidays its important that we not lose sight as to what the holidays are really about…the holiday season is rooted in MIRACLES.

No matter what you personally believe in, you cannot deny that all of the rituals, observances, and symbols surrounding this time of year are rooted in miracles…The miracle of the fat man in a red suit flying with reindeer sliding down chimneys with gifts, the miracle of enough olive oil for one night lasting 8 nights during the re-dedication of the temple, and the birth of Jesus to a virgin.

While we celebrate all of these things it often seems that many of us are reluctant to really believe in miracles. Yet when we examine our own lives everyone of us can attest to miracles.

Today I’m thinking about a conversation I had a few weeks ago with a friend. We were talking about worrying and how worrying doesn’t help things. I had a similar conversation this afternoon with my big sister. It has taken me many years to understand that worry causes stress and stress manifests mess. I now live free of stress because I KNOW without a doubt that I am blessed.

This same time 7 years ago I was sick riddled with Sarcoidosis barely able to get out bed some days and on an assortment of medications getting shots in my hip! (I HATE needles). Today I’m healthy, I feel great, and I’m not on any medication :) (Thank God).

mta I remember standing on the bus stop at 4am to get to the train station to catch another bus to get to work by six. I remember working late (after the bus stopped running) and having to call friends and family for rides home. I remember the days of rain and cars passing by drenching me on the bus stop. I recall days of missing buses and trains by a second. I recall days when buses just passed me by…I remember when my first car a 1983 Buick Regal threw a rod on a bridge in Virginia.

photo002.jpgI remember when the transmission in my old Chrysler, Taurus, and Fairmont died. I have the painful memory of losing the Palm My Ride Contest in which I was competing for a new Ford Mustang. I remember the day before Christmas last year when our car was stolen (got it back hours later that same day).

This year, The day after Thanksgiving we were blessed with a new car.

I’m BlessedToday I’m driving a 2008 Camry! (God is Good).

I believe with all my heart that my Maker is well aware of my needs and has it all under control (my every need is supplied) no matter how things may look to my natural eye. It’s not our place to worry about anything. A few weeks ago a friend expressed concern about praying and waiting for things to happen, her view is its about taking action. I get that… After all, faith without works is dead…

However, I know the power of prayer and have seen it at work in my life. My prayers are answered. Sometimes I have to wait for the answers to manifest because God works in His time not mine. Miracles and prayer go hand in hand. Miracles and blessings are very real! Prayer is powerful. No matter what the situation, no matter how dismal things may seem, we all have access to divine intervention.

Nothing is impossible to those that believe.

Don’t Worry Be Happy

You can’t change anything by worrying. Worrying will not improve your circumstances. In fact, worrying will only make matters worse. The more you worry, the more your mind wastes energy focusing on problems rather than solutions. Worry causes both mental and physical stress which can result in more problems.

Stop worrying.

The answer to your problems lies in your ability and resolve to be happy no matter what. I know that this may seem easier said than done…But it can be done. So how does one make lemonade when life throws you lemons? It begins with your mind, your faith, and the words that you speak.

Step 1
Think or meditate on things that are lovely and pure.
Philippians 4:8

This doesn’t mean think about butterflies and sunny days with pretty rainbows…to a person with problems and seemingly unsurmountable obstacles the solutions to overcoming life’s hurdles are lovely and pure. Wouldn’t it be lovely to solve the problem? Wouldn’t it be pure joy to know everything is really all good? Think about what makes you happy. (Most people are more adept at thinking about what makes them unhappy. The problem is a source of unhappiness so again avoid thinking about the problem). Meditate on the answers to the problems. See the problem solved. The more you think about the solutions the more hopeful you will feel. You may not know exactly how or when the solution will manifest but by focusing on the solution you open yourself to receiving divine inspiration.

Step 2
Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
Hebrews 11:1

Remember the George Michaels song Faith? Well, he is absolutely right…YOU GOTTA HAVE FAITH. I’m not talking about ordinary natural faith…What I am talking about is mountain moving faith. The even though you can’t see it, touch it, taste it, feel it, or hear it but you boldly and confidently believe it, kind of faith. You must have faith that your problems are solvable and that they will be solved. You must be able to believe no matter what circumstances look like, everything isn’t always as it appears. You cannot always rely on what you see, you have to believe without a doubt, and stand on your faith.

Step 3
Speak things that are not as though they are.
Romans 4:17

Your words have creative power, speaking faith filled words can breath new life into any situation. No matter what you are facing the words that come out of your mouth can change your circumstance. I often hear people say that they are broke over and over and they stay broke because who ever without a doubt “…believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.” Mark 11:23 This is why it is of the utmost importance that you are selective with what comes out of your mouth. Don’t speak the problem speak the solution. If finances are of concern instead confessing you’re broke confess something like: God is the unfailing, unlimited source of my supply. My financial income now increases…Remember to ask, believe, and receive.

Nothing good ever comes from worrying! Do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things…” Matthew 6:34

Don’t Worry, Be Happy Lyrics by Bobby McFerrin

Here is a little song I wrote
You might want to sing it note for note
Don’t worry be happy
In every life we have some trouble
When you worry you make it double

Don’t worry, be happy……

Ain’t got no place to lay your head
Somebody came and took your bed
Don’t worry, be happy
The land lord say your rent is late
He may have to litigate
Don’t worry, be happy
Lood at me I am happy
Don’t worry, be happy
Here I give you my phone number
When you worry call me
I make you happy
Don’t worry, be happy
Ain’t got no cash, ain’t got no style
Ain’t got not girl to make you smile
But don’t worry be happy
Cause when you worry
Your face will frown
And that will bring everybody down

So don’t worry, be happy (now)…..

There is this little song I wrote
I hope you learn it note for note
Like good little children
Don’t worry, be happy
Listen to what I say
In your life expect some trouble
But when you worry
You make it double
Don’t worry, be happy……
Don’t worry don’t do it, be happy
Put a smile on your face
Don’t bring everybody down like this
Don’t worry, it will soon past
Whatever it is

Don’t worry, be happy

Ship Wrecked

I have no idea who the original author of this piece is to give credit & props, but this is an inspirational story that must be shared, I’m sure the author would be pleased, enjoy.

Ship Wrecked

shipwreckThe only survivor of a shipwreck was washed up on
a small, uninhabited island. He prayed feverishly
for God to rescue him, and every day he scanned
the horizon for help, but none seemed
forthcoming. Exhausted, he eventually managed
to build a little hut out of driftwood to protect
him from the elements, and to store his few
possessions.
But then one day, after scavenging for food, he
arrived home to find his little hut in flames, the
smoke rolling up to the sky.

The worst had happened; everything was lost. Heburning
was stunned with grief and anger. ” God, how
could you do this to me!” he cried.
Early the next day, however, he was awakened by
the sound of a ship that was approaching the island.
It had come to rescue him. “How did you know I was here?” asked the weary man of his rescuers. “We saw your smoke signal, ” they replied.

rescueIt is easy to get discouraged when things are
going bad, but we shouldn’t lose heart, because
God is at work in our lives, even in the midst of

pain and suffering.

Remember, next time your little hut is

burning to the ground —-it just may be a

smoke signal that summons the grace of God.

For all the negative things we have to say to
ourselves
, God has a positive answer for it:

You say: “It’s impossible”
God says: All things are possible (Luke 18:27)

You say: “Nobody really loves me”
God says: I love you (John 3:16 & John 13:34)

You say: “I can’t go on”
God says: My grace is sufficient (II Corinthians 12:9 & Psalm 91:15)

You say: “I can’t figure things out”
God says: I will direct your steps (Proverbs 3:5-6)

You say: “I can’t do it”
God says: You can do all things (Philippians 4:13)

You say: “I’m not able”
God says: I am able (II Corinthians 9:8)

You say: “It’s not worth it”
God says: It will be worth it (Roman 8:28)

You say: “I can’t forgive myself”
God says: I FORGIVE YOU (I John 1:9 & Romans 8:1)

You say: “I can’t manage”
God says: I will supply all your needs (Philippians 4:19)

You say: “I’m afraid”
God says: I have not given you a spirit of fear (II Timothy1:7)

You say: “I’m always worried and frustrated”
God says: Cast all your cares on ME (I Peter 5:7)

You say: “I don’t have enough faith”
God says: I’ve given everyone a measure of faith (Romans 12:3)

You say: “I’m not smart enough”
God says: I give you wisdom (I Corinthians 1:30)

You say: “I feel all alone”
God says: I will never leave you or forsake you (Hebrews13:5)

Goal Setting Goal Getting

Life Is What You Make It!

There is hope. No matter how impossible your dreams may seem, nothing is impossible to those that believe. Do you want more free time to travel and spend with family and friends? Got your eyes on a home or car? Are you contemplating your entrepreneurial skills? Thinking about your life’s purpose? See yourself achieving your goals. Create mental pictures.

goal setting

Your dream home awaits you, homeownership is within your reach. You have what it takes to start your own business. You deserve to live and experience life abundantly…stress and worry free…see yourself in the picture.

mission accomplished

If you have set goals in the past but failed, your strategy for achieving your goals may have been at fault.

Are You a Goal Setter or a Goal Getter?

The difference between a goal setter and a goal getter is a goal getter takes their goals seriously, is passionate about their goals, visualizes themselves as having already reached their goals, and has absolute faith that they will achieve their goals.

The goal setter sets wish list goals that they don’t believe that they can achieve causing them to not take their goals seriously. Consequently, they are unable to visualize themselves accomplishing their goals, they have no faith in their ability to reach their goals, and as a result, the goal setter never realizes their goals.

You have the power within you to become a goal getter. If you have the self-discipline, will, and desire to meet and even exceed your goals, this advanced strategy will change your life starting today.

Your Goal Getter Guide:

1. Determine what you want and need to live a balanced and abundant life. Set goals that include the 7 most important aspects of your life: family, finances, social, physical, spiritual, emotional, & mental.

2. Use time frames to determine short-term, long-term, and lifetime goals. While your lifetime goals may change, it is important that you set lifetime goals because you can use them to effectively guide the direction of your life helping you determine your short and long-term goals. Time frames: 20 year, 10 year, 5 year, 3 year, 1 year, next month, next week, and tomorrow.

3. Put your goals in writing to keep yourself motivated, excited, accountable, and to stay organized. If your goals change rewrite them.

4. Be very specific, concise, and clear about what you want as you write your goals. (Instead of saying I want a house, you say something like my house has 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a laundry room, a kitchen with an island, a 2 car garage, with beautiful views from every room overlooking the Pacific Ocean. see the difference? be very specific).

dream home

5. Use positive statements when writing your goals to help stimulate vivid mental pictures of your goals. (Instead of saying I will not gain weight, say something like I maintain my health by exercising daily and eating right. get the picture? It’s easy to visualize yourself on a treadmill and eating healthy meals. Its difficult to create a mental picture for not gaining weight).

6. Create a goal board with pictures of what you want to attain. Look at your goal board daily and visualize yourself achieving your goals.

7. Write down your reasons for wanting to achieve your goals and how you will benefit by achieving each one. Write down things that you can do to reach your goals.

8. Rewrite your goals in present tense regularly, as if you have already achieved them. Affirm your written words with spoken words by reading them out loud daily. This will set Universal Laws in motion (The Law of Attraction) while increasing your faith, belief, and resolve.

9. Keep track of your progress and reward yourself for achieving each goal. Be creative, have fun, and turn it into a contest to help you stay motivated and focused.

10. Make sure that your goals are in fact your goals and no one else’s. Your goals must be based on your own beliefs, desires, wants, needs, self-image, and expectations. Only share your goals with supportive people that have their own goals.

Your every day actions should bring you closer to your goals. You must be persistent and you must follow through. It is not enough to put your goals on paper. You must follow up your written goals with action and hold yourself accountable.

Stay focused, positive, and believe that you can achieve your mission. Goal Getters set and achieve their goals and Never Give Up.
