I know that I am not alone when it comes to pondering “Why Bad Things Happen To Good People?”
It’s actually something that I’ve wondered for many years. Personally, I’ve gone through some terrible things, even recently… so have a lot people that I know…So are so many people around the world. And so, the question I ask is why?
I posed the question on Twitter and someone responded with an interesting thought that I agree with but it still doesn’t totally answer my question.

I wanted you to be the first to know that I have moved and to give you my new home address: I have moved from Beggars Alley located on Poverty Lane at the corner of Bleak and Busted Circle. As of today, I have a brand new home.
My new address is: 123 Living Well Drive in the Abundance Subdivision, located at the corners
of Blessings Street and Thankful Peak. You get there by taking the Praising Him Interstate, which runs North, South, East and West.

Just about everyone has heard the saying “God Doesn’t Like Ugly.”
Well, it would seem that the rain on the Republican National Convention parade, is an ironic demonstration of that old saying.
Remember the call for people to pray for rain in time for Barack Obama’s acceptance speech at the Democratic National Convention?
Looks like that plan backfired.
Instead of rain, the clever folks that actually thought they could manipulate God with such a malicious prayer….stirred up some wrath in the form of a hurricane.
Now look, the Republican National Convention has been disrupted and millions are forced to evacuate….

Living Life Abundantly is a state of mind.
Let your mind dwell on these eight things:
Whatever is true
Whatever is noble
Whatever is right
Whatever is pure
Whatever is lovely
Whatever is admirable
Whatever is excellent
Whatever is praiseworthy

Jack took a long look at his speedometer before slowing down: 73 in a 55 zone. Fourth time in as many months. How could a guy get caught so often?
When his car had slowed to 10 miles an hour, Jack pulled over, but only partially. Let the cop worry about the potential traffic hazard. Maybe some other car will tweak his backside with a mirror. The cop was stepping out of his car, the big pad in hand. Bob? Bob from Church? Jack sunk farther into his trench coat. This was worse than the coming ticket. A cop catching a guy from his own church. A guy who happened to be a little eager to get home after a long day at the office. A guy he was about to play golf with tomorrow.

This morning this poem was presented to me in a church bulletin. Considering the pastor’s message, the poem was right on time. I confess, I do not attend Sunday church services regularly. I know some people that know me personally are probably thinking wow she actually went to church this Sunday, Praise the Lord!
Funny… This morning the pastor made the point that just because a person sings in the choir, marches on the usher board, sits in the pulpit, or attends church every Sunday…does not mean that they are saved and/or are going to heaven. I’m glad he mentioned this because too many people get it twisted…
