Aren’t The Police Suppose To Serve and Protect?
I wanted to wait to post this when I felt more capable of intelligently articulating my thoughts and feelings… but I can’t so bare with me. I JUST saw this for the very first time so its raw. I’m tired of hearing about this type of abuse and I’m tired of US laying down and taking it… It makes wonder if we are desensitized. Police brutality is a part of American history, in fact, its as American as apple pie….but how many more have to be brutalized, abused, shot, killed…before we re-write history and demand something different than what we’ve been getting? When I first heard about this case I was checking status updates on Facebook and thought it was a joke, that is until I saw who it came from…Eddie G. Griffin does not joke! The more I read, the more I needed to know… It seemed crazy to me that anyone could be sentenced to double life in prison over $10! How could that be? We live amongst child molesters and rapists that do less than a year. How is it possible to serve a double life sentence for $10?  Read more...
