Getting Flat Abs Doesn’t Have To Be Hard Work

There are a lot of people who are interested in reducing their belly fat and need just one small tip on how to get flat abs. Many of these people spend thousands of dollars on diets and exercise machines that do nothing but exhaust them because they focus on all the wrong areas.

The real truth about reducing fat on your belly is not going to be found in a few crunches on the latest gadget. You also need to include routines and make dietary changes that focus on reducing fat throughout the body and help give you flat abs.

One of the first things you should do is to get on a proper diet. That’s not to say you should cut your meals in half, rather you should slowly decrease your caloric intake and stick with protein from lean meats and fish and eat more fresh vegetables while staying away from sweets and starchy foods. This will get you started on burning fat more efficiently.

It is a good idea to limit your intake of carbohydrates. If you find that you can’t do without them, then opt for healthier good carbs such as brown rice instead of white, whole grain breads instead of refined flour. Legumes are good carbs as well as an excellent source of fiber which along with protein should comprise the core of your diet.

It’s a better idea not to eat just three big meals a day but to spread it across six smaller meals instead. This keeps your energy levels high and reduces cravings and hunger. However your most important meal of the day is your morning breakfast which should consist of high protein and fiber. Don’t forget to stay well hydrated as water is important for your good health.

People often complain that even though they do five hundred reps of sit ups they still haven’t been able to get flat abs. The main reason for this to be happening is that your body is basically stressed by fatigue or there is simply too much belly fat that is preventing your abs from taking shape and developing into flat, ripped abs.

A regular workout routine that exercises your body all over is much more effective than trying to do only crunches or stomach specific exercises. Once you start losing more overall body fat, you’ll be able to see better results. But keep in mind that a protein rich diet forms an essential part of fat loss so don’t discount the importance of protein in the fat burning process.

Being fat is no joy and it is my hope to get paid to lose weight but since that is not likely I will be looking for some atkins diet recipes to see if they work as well for me as they did for my mum.

There is a science to the diet. I now eat five meals a day, but initially found it difficult to be disciplined enough, but once you get into a rhythm it does become second nature. But your right, diet is key, what you eat, how much you eat and how many times a day is crucial. Being able to accurately calculate calorie intake and usage is no easy task but an essential skill to learn. Mike Geary's book, The Truth About Abs, covers menu plans in detail that takes the guess work out of doing it yourself.

    Hi,

It's good to see someone placing as much importance on the dietary requirements of an exercise plan as it is on the exercise. far too many people believe that just by doing hundreds of crunches they will just magically develop ripped abs.

    Good stuff!!
