The solar energy jobs have skyrocketed by a 25% margin since 2001. The need for alternative energy has spread world wide and the availability of alternative energy jobs have been coinciding with these needs. By 2010 many in the industry expect the needs to increase to incorporate 100,000 new jobs. This is good news for the environment as well as for those seeking the green employment that contributes positive energy to the world.
Over the next few years there is no doubt that the increase in alternative energy jobs will continue to not just rise, but leap high off the percentages page. We need immediate solar energy resources to implement and we need continuing research and development to make solar power more accessible to everyone. Well placed solar energy sources can help increase the effectiveness of the coastal wind turbine efforts. Together the two alternative energy sources can reduce the country’s emissions output by a significant margin.
There will be a strong need for individuals to cover all aspects of solar energy implementation. Everything from researching how to get more power from the solar panels to building and installation of wind turbines will fall under the alternative energy jobs that are being offered right now. The headlines are starting to look like an ecologist’s happy day as more companies, branches of government, and individuals turn toward alternative sources for their energy.
We are just a bit behind the increase in solar energy jobs when compared to countries throughout Europe. European countries recorded a record growth spurt in between 2001 and 2003. This significant leap forward has placed them well ahead of the race to save the planet. It is going to take a lot more effort than just opening up more jobs in the clean energy market to really clean up the planet. But it seems as though we have the economic, political, and ecological need to move forward quickly and effectively.
The clean energy jobs that are being created today are the jobs that will help the planet recreate its entire energy system. We will have new ways to heat homes and keep the lights on. We will have reduced energy bills and more efficient energy use. We will effectively clean up the planet one solar panel at a time.
There is no doubt that solar power can take away a huge dependence on traditional oil and gas resources, which decreases political stress while increasing eco friendly practices. The progress through this single generation toward solar power is really quite amazing.
Sometimes in order to get the alternative energy job that you have your eye on, you will need to gather some experience and the right education. Sometimes you can pick up an internship or an alternate position while you are finishing up your education.
Some students are offered a transfer to help fill in the voids in the industry. While this can mean losing college credits it also pretty guaranteed you a job before as well as after college. Those who apply and are selected are definitely in a unique position. The transfer can be hard on you but the experience is once in a lifetime.

Renewable energy, especially solar, is definately taking off. The technology is advancing at a fast rate. There are solar concentrators which are small enough for home use, commercially available, and offer a payback of around six years. These "solar concentrators" are vastly more efficient than traditional technologies. Here's a video of one in action: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RpdbZIKbVW0
This is what the planet needs – better ways to power our homes and businesses.
In this tough economic climate, solarenergy jobs will really be important. Thanks for the look.
