Omega 3 fatty acids are vitally important to your overall health. Another great source of these essential nutrients is grass fed beef. The key is to get genuine grass fed beef which can be hard to find. The grain fed stuff is high in omega 6 and low in omega 3's so you want to avoid this.

Greta read especially caught that stress is a big belly builder. We tend to eat more when we are under stress. Not only more but the wrong kinds as well. We need to try and relax a whole lot more than we do as we run the rat race.

Stress, trans fat, additives and preservatives, it all adds up to weight gain. That’s why I'm going more towards raw and organic when I can. I haven't been on the new regime long but I'm already feeling better. The problem is I like a lot of the foods you mention that you get to eat with the Mediterranean diet. There’s always a trade off isn’t there?
Cortisol is a pain in the butt when it comes to trying to lose weight. I've found the biggest thing with myself and some others is just a plain lack of sleep. Lack of sleep kills everything. Cortisol is significantly raised through out the day as well as glucose intolerance and an increase in insulin resistance.
