This year I’ll be spending the day with both my mom and grandmother. I try to show my love and appreciation for them EVERY DAY not just on Mother’s Day. It is a blessing to have them in my life. Mom and Gram you are both so awesome!
Aside from having an awesome mother and grandmother, I am also blessed to have other exceptional women in my life that mentor, inspire, encourage, and nurture me and treat me as if I’m their own. I spend a great deal of time with other people’s mothers. I am often in awe of how much mothers actually do and how much they mean to not just their families but to others. Since I’m not a mother yet, when I have the opportunity to be in the presence of mothers I soak in everything because at this point I’m a mother in training lol, so I surround myself with good examples.
I have days when I’m ready to throw in the towel but ALL of the mothers in my life have some sort of radar (mothers intuition) and always always some how… some way… they just seem to know (without me saying) that something is wrong. I think that mother’s 6th sense super power kicks in and the mothers in my life just appear or will say something or do something…to lift my spirits and get me back focused. Maybe they don’t even know that they are doing it. I don’t know…but what I do know is I appreciate them, love them, and today I honor and celebrate them. You ladies know who you are…but in case you don’t (I need to do a better job letting you know how much I appreciate you smile).
