There is a unique cool approach to weight loss which can work well. And, thankfully, there is good scientific reasoning supporting this novel but not very difficult approach

Unbelievably, this method is not so severe that it is impossible for the ordinary person to stick to the simple regimen for long enough to see results. See below for comments on fast diets and weight loss.

In a nutshell, it involves tricking your own personal metabolism. What is your own personal metabolism? Well get to that in a minute. Just what is the main idea behind this regimen and how will it result in weight loss? Basically, the idea is that Calories Do Count ” they are probably the only real way to lose weight.

Its easily seen that if you reduce your caloric intake too much, your body will respond to what it (the body) believes to be the start of starving.

The human body cannot be reasoned with, unfortunately. Our body goes by ancient cues that are part of our very nature. Thus, merely reducing calories actually prevents us from losing weight. Why? Because the body shuts down when it believes it is about to starve. It uses as few calories as possible as the first line of defense in saving our lives. No one’s body understands about weight loss. Your body is intent on survival ” after all, that all the poor thing has, isnt it?

Our bodies were trained over millions of years to be instantly aware of lack of food. After all, in ancient days food did not move from place to place very easily, and the result often was famine. A local crop failure could cause a local famine quite easily ” especially in ancient time.

When famine hit repeatedly over millions of years, the human body learned it was necessary to immediately use less fuel. The answer to that was to slow the metabolic rate way down. (The metabolic rate is the rate at which the body uses fuel to keep basic vital functions going. See, we told you wed tell you.)

Now, how can you do two things which are diametrically opposed to each other ” and, do them simultaneously? To lose weight we need to cut our calories at the same time that we need our metabolism to stay at a high level. However, if we do cut our calories our metabolism slows down. But if we can cut calories and keep our metabolism up to normal (or, close to it) the result must be weight loss.

Therefore, to obtain weight loss, you must play a clever trick on your body. You have to encourage your body in the belief that you are NOT cutting back on the number of calories you eat, when that is precisely what you are doing.

You can do this trick with what is termed cycling calories. And, what does cycling calories mean, exactly?

It’s quite simple. Some days you eat slightly MORE calories than your metabolism needs. On other days you just eat FEWER calories than your body needs.

When this is done, (but it must be done PROPERLY) you end up over time consuming fewer calories than you need. This results in a caloric deficit which, in turn, gives you a weight loss.

What you have done is keep your body metabolism in a guessing mode. In this mode it never really slows down to adapt to the times when the calories you eat are restricted.

This is the way it goes: Your metabolism is going along as usual and on the days when calories are fewer, it looks at this phenomenon and says, “Hmm. If its fewer calories tomorrow, then I’m going into “Starvation Mode. But, the next days calories are just a bit over what’s needed and Metabolism says, “Well, calories are OK so I do not need to slow down.”

As long as your total calories, over time, are actually being restricted, you lose weight. But, folks there is something else you need to understand.

This is NOT a quick 3, 5 or 21 day diet. You must realize those kind of fast diets are useful only for eliminating water from your body. When you start drinking water after a spate of quick dieting, the weight comes back, doesnt it? Of course, because you havent really lost any fat. (Or, very little.)

When you trick your metabolism, it works. But, it must work slowly because you can only burn off fat slowly. By sticking to the metabolism diet you will eliminate fat steadily and you will gain weight loss.

The details of this method go beyond the scope of this report. We cannot here go into detail about any diet implementation – that would be too complicated. However, there is information on this Trick Your Metabolism diet elsewhere.
