Guess Who Got A Ticket To The Inauguration But Needs A Plane Ticket!
It will be an honor and privilege to attend the 2009 Presidential Inauguration and share the experience on this blog.
Those that read Living Life Abundantly and those that know me personally, know how involved I was with the campaign from volunteering, to rallying, to blogging, to emailing, to calling, to registering people to vote, and so on.
Today (January 2nd 2009), I received notification from my local Congress woman that my name was selected to receive 1 ticket to attend the inauguration. (Since I hadn’t heard anything I figured there were no more tickets and that I would just have to watch it on tv)… I did not buy a plane ticket because I had no assurance that I would have an inauguration ticket. I should have stepped out on faith and got one anyway!
Here it is…. days before the inauguration and I’m blessed with a ticket! God is good.
Now I feel like Charlie from Charlie and The Chocolate Factory with the golden ticket from Willy Wonka! But in order for me to pick up my ticket I must show proof of my travel itinerary by Monday January 5th. I need a plane ticket fast!
I have friends all around the DC area that will open their homes to me. I just need the plane ticket to get there…most of which are $600 plus at this point.
With Love,
Marenda
P.S.
Update: My wonderful friend MJ is willing to give me her 20,000 American Airline miles (the dates around the inauguration call for 50,000 miles). Do you have any American Airline miles to spare?
Yes We Can!!!!

Did you get to go? I think it would have been great to have been there.
How was it, beautiful?
Folks…the inauguration hasn't happened yet. Have a good time at it, I wish I could go.
Just bumped into this blog, i hope that you were able to get a ticket and had a nice time at the inauguration.
I will watch on tv, have fun
