What is subliminal messaging? A lot of people are unaware of subliminal messaging and its potential, which is not surprising considering it’s not exactly a widely known phenomenon. For those of you who already know what subliminal messaging is, good for you. But for the benefit of those who don’t, allow this article to explain what subliminal messaging is all about.
These subliminal messages are often in the form of words, sounds, or images that are designed in such a way that a person is made unaware of their presence because they fall below a person’s normal aural registers. But just because we cannot consciously hear a message does not mean that it is necessarily non-existent.
These subliminal messages are usually embedded into a form of media. Typically, images are flashed faster than the eye can perceive, and sounds are played at a frequency beyond which no normal human can consciously hear. Despite not being able to process them on a conscious level, on the subconscious level however, these “hidden” messages can be deciphered and processed.
The truth of the matter is, subliminal messaging is all around us. But because there are so many things going on physically around us, we tend to tune out most of the information around us that may otherwise overwhelm our conscious mind if it were to take in every single detail that goes on around us. Thus our mind relegates this “redundant” information as “background” noise, but still unknown to us, our minds are constantly aware of this background information on a subconscious level.
For example, you may currently be engaged in a conversation with a friend, when you see another friend from the corner of your eyes. You recognize the person, yet you’re deeply engaged in the conversation at hand that the other friend fades into the background, until they wave at you from a distance. The minute they do, your mind, which has subconsciously been noting the person’s presence, will now make it known to you consciously that some form of response is required of you, and you wave back.
The same concept applies to subliminal messaging. Even though you may not be aware of the messages that you’re receiving, your mind is still processing them and deciphering the information. In the case of subliminal affirmations, words, even on a conscious level, have the power to influence people. Words are in fact a very strong element in influencing people. Therefore it is very possible to influence the behavior of an individual or even a group without their knowledge.
While subliminal messaging has been used in advertisements and commercials, it can also be used for self development, and it is in fact the best technique to consider if you’re seeking self-improvement. A lot of people all over the world are turning to self-help audio; in fact the industry is valued around $50 million today, and counting. This shows that people believe in the power of subliminal messaging and how it can enable them to unlock their true potential. Some of the more common areas where subliminal messaging have been used for such self-improvement products include improving self confidence, weight loss, and even enhancing one’s sex drive.
Subliminal messaging can help you unlock that hidden potential, and it is simple enough to take advantage of. Simply pop in a subliminal track and listen to it as you lay sleeping. Subliminal messaging can help change your life even without you being consciously aware of it, as all it does is activate the parts of your brain that you haven’t consciously been using, so as to maximize your mind’s full potential.
