Have you seen this girl?
I got a message from Wayne at Electronic Village alerting me about a 12 year old girl who is 8 months pregnant and missing.
In California we get Amber Alerts on highway/freeway signs, we get notices via television which interrupt whatever you happen to be watching at the time, we hear about Amber Alerts on radio & the news…
I obviously don’t have a problem with that….what I do have a problem with is why this child is not on the Amber Alert radar in North Carolina. This is a child, an… 8 month pregnant child… she’s missing which means that she and her unborn child might be in danger of injury or death. Is anyone looking for her? Does anyone care? Why hasn’t the media covered this story. This is someone’s baby girl!
I checked North Carolina’s Amber Alert and Tekenya Wooten is not in the system. Why? From what I gather from their website its because Tekenya Wooten is classified or misclassified as a runaway… Where does a 12 year old and 8 months pregnant girl run? Why hasn’t this made the news?
I called the Associated Press North Carolina Bureau as suggested by Gina over a What About Our Daughters. I got a voicemail so I left a message. I encourage you to do the same and more. I’m just getting started.
I don’t think this little girl ran away, I’m inclined to believe foul play is involved. Even if she did runaway she needs to be found immediately. The media covers other missing girls why not this 12 year old Black girl who is 8 months pregnant… Who is she pregnant by and where is he? Something is not right!
I know that I cannot save the world but it doesn’t stop me from trying one blog at a time… We should all care about Tekenya Wooten and we should all do something to help find her! Make some calls, send some emails, post a blog. DO SOMETHING WHILE SOMETHING CAN BE DONE! They say it takes a village to raise a child well we have two missing from our village. What are we going to do about it?

Too often police believe teens both boys and girls are runaways. Yeah, some of them are; but not all and this makes it even easier for the sickos to get ahold of these children that do need the help of the police.
This needs to change!
This ws on Nancy Grace last night; not only is the girl missing, she left with her stepfather and younger sister!…the neighbor was on the show and talked about how the children and the stepfather were abusive towards the mother, even with the chidren cursing her…you can kind of figure it out for yourself, with details like that…

The teens should be aware of sex and related things and this alone can relieve them from doing mistakes.
Is the news item legitimate? Sometimes people get worked up over fake or distorted stories.
Do you mean like the (grown) run away brides that get a lot of media attention?

The first day of your period is Cycle Day 1. Most woman ovulate around day 13-15. Sperm live a day or two on their journey to the egg.

Regardless of her age and whether she was promiscuous or having unprotected sex; it is irrelevant. She is a lost CHILD and needs to be found, whether she is a runaway, black, white, pregnant or not! She could have been raped and kidnapped. Put the word out and find her!

Read the news story. She and her 11 year old sister and her adoptive step father have disappeared.
My understanding is that she's not on the amber alert system because she was taken by a custodial parent.
I'm wondering why a bigger deal is not being made by authorities about the fact that she's pregnant! If it was an adult who impregnated her that's a felony.
It's weird how none of the major news networks are running this story…you have to dig through google to find something on it. Apparently she's with her 11 year old sister and step dad. She hadn't (or wouldn't) tell her mom who the father is. And they had packed up their stuff. Sounds very fishy….
I hope that they are found soon, unharmed.
hello people. the girl disappeared with her stepfather. am i the only one that can see the big picture here. is it possible that the stepdad is the father of the child and freaked out because it is time for the child to be born. why else would he take her and run. i think he is trying to hide the truth. i just pray that he doesnt hurt the baby or his 12 year old step daughter. for gosh sakes. doent anyone have any clue where they could be and where is the mother in all of this?
I agree, The step father missing with her and her sister ? sounds to me like he wanted to get rid of the evidence Why was a 12 yr old going to school being that much pregant? Where is her "Mother"?
What a shame…I was up late night tonight watching Nancy Grace and the story about the Hess girls came on. I wrote down the number to the tip line and called 1-704-878-3100. I was calling just to ask if they had maybe been considering the idea that the stepfather may have been sexually involved with the 12 year old girl. The response that I got was shocking. I was simply told in the most uncaring rude voice "I don't know mam". My question was WTF. I the man at the tip line that's supposed to be gathering tip to help find these little girls doesn't know anything who does? Wow! I'm still shocked by his disgusting, abysmal attitude. The number is supposed to be a tip line. In my opinion this should have been considered as a valuable tip (a missing piece to the puzzle so to speak). Every media outline seems to be ignoring the obvious piece of the puzzle for some reason. I don't know. Maybe they are afraid to speculate because they may face legal consequences if they are wrong. I'm not what to speculate my self, but the story is so apparent Stevie Wonder could see it. It does not take a rocket scientist to put two and two together. Why??? I guess they just don't care.
We actually live in a society were famous film directors rape 13 year old girls, and famous musician have "so called" consensual sexual relationships with their daughters. I myself was a victim of sexual molestation, by one of my family members "at the age of "5". When will we as Americans learn to face the fact that children are molested by family members or some one that they trust more than we want to believe??? Somebody check the statistics please, and put something in the man at the tip lines mouth my zippers stuck. Let's face it they don't really care. They want tips? I've got a tip for them be nicer to people and face the obvious. I hope Gods looking out for the Hess girls because the tip line isn't.
