Today during my quick Facebook check in, I noticed a note from Selena, (I went to High School with Selena and haven’t seen her since we graduated). Anyway, upon reading the note I learned that Selena is in a band called Rare Form Live and they will be performing on Sept. 13th. It’s kind of far from my house…but I plan to make it to see Selena do her thing!

Last year, hundreds of people came out for live music, food, and great beer! Building on the success of our inaugural event, this year’s promises to be even more of a hit. This year The Firehouse Brewing Company is hosting the concert at their brand new brewery located in the heart of Mission Valley! Join Firehouse Foundation as we honor the heroes and victims of 9/11 in our effort to build a permanent firefighter widows and orphans fund, and help buy safety equipment for local fire departments. Guests of the 9/11 Firehouse Foundation Concert will partake in an event full of music, food, beverages, and fun. A stage will host a series of San Diego’s hottest bands, while guests will be encouraged to taste a variety of dishes served by some of San Diego’s finest establishments. Guests will also be invited to enjoy a full scale beer garden provided by The Firehouse Brewing Company, while they await raffle drawings showcasing numerous prizes. Oh Marenda, that is soooooo neat that she contacted you on FB and the band looks and sounds great. You are going to have a super time, and I’m happy that you support indy bands. Totally karmic that she’s playing fairly near you–I’m jealous. But have fun!
