The housing market is ripe with foreclosure investment property, the sad fact is many people are over extended and cannot meet their payments anymore. They are desperate to retain as much of their lifestyle as they can, and realizing that no matter what they juggle, they are going to lose their house. What makes matters even worse is the foreclosure looming on the horizon is going to ruin their credit rating and keep them from getting a new mortgage loan when their financial situation improves.

For instance, states like California, New Mexico, and even Colorado will have an abundance of ranch-style homes, while spacious homes with sun rooms and screened porches are in demand in states like Florida.

When you enroll in school, you will find out about real estate for sale in every part of the country, along with the qualities that make commercial and residential real estate attractive. If you’re interested in investing, you can also take certain courses that will teach you how to budget the funds you allocate for real estate, as well as how to market yourself as a professional real estate investor. These classes will teach you that real estate involves more than simply being a real estate agent; you’ll have to know which properties are worth investing in, and which qualities (i.e. location next to good schools, safe neighborhood) would help you to sell the property effectively.

  4. I don’t get the banking bailout. If the money was supposed to help homeowners stay in their homes – it’s not working. Banks are still not willing to reduce the mortgage amount but are willing to accept a short sale to someone else. Go Figure.

    Hopefully the new administration can change that and keep people in their homes. If not we have a minimum of two years of further decline in this economy!

The point of the bail out was never to do with keeping people in their homes it was to stimulate and save the banking industry in the hope that it in turn would stimulate the economy that is working although it may not look like it the libor is on the way down and credit conditions are easing this will tke some time to correct the market however. There are measures put in place to help people stay in their homes but we must remember that alot of people should not be in homes that they cannot afford.
    I too hope that the new administration can bring stability and growth to th worlds economies.

    There are a ton of foreclosure opportunities these days, but there are a few issues. You need to know what you are doing and how the foreclosure and REO process works. You also need a good place to identify potential properties. You need the capital or a good lender. Finally, there might be more competition for your target properties than you imagined. Its not uncommon for properties to get multiple offers, even above the asking price.

  11. Foreclosure is a sad thing to happen but it is necessary in my opinion. In some states like California the foreclosed prices are probably more in line with what people can afford. I've seen cities out in the Inland Empire blow up to 600k and people who were earning hourly-wages were gobbling this stuff up. It really didn't add up logically.
