So you want to find the best Hunter ceiling fans. This may not always be an easy task. There are so many different Hunter fan models to consider. Aside from the fan options themselves, there are also a variety of different considerations ranging from your room type to your other furniture. Here are some tips for choosing Hunter fans.

- The size of the room where the fan will be placed is always a major concern. A big room like a family living room should have a fan that has blades over 60″ or at least 50″. A room that isn’t so big but isn’t too small would do well with blades over 40″ Smaller blades below 40″ would do well in small areas like laundry rooms.

- Room width isn’t everything. Some very wide rooms can have very low ceilings. To decrease the risk of injury and accidents, your fan should have blades that are seven feet off the ground. A ceiling that is too high on the other hand can limit efficient air flow in which case, you would fare better if you have a down rod.

- The purpose of your ceiling fan will understandably affect your choice. Some fans are really chosen more for decorative purposes than anything else. Of course, many people also choose ceiling fans for functional reasons. If you want a purely decorative fan, you could go for one that has a small motor and an intricate design. Fan models also differ according to whether they are intended for indoor or outdoor use.

- Another factor to consider when picking Hunter ceiling fans is your design preference. You may already have a theme or design for your room. In this case, all you need to do would be to find a fan that fits your theme. Finished wood would naturally look best in a room with wood furniture too. People with more modern tastes may prefer the fans with white blades. A third option would be to pick a fan that has blades that can be reversed so the color or finish can match a new room theme.

- You can choose fans with extra accessories. If you want greater convenience for example, some Hunter models can be operated with a remote control.

- Lights are another fan accessory that you might appreciate. Hunter fans can have their own light fixtures or you can choose matching kits to fit on your fans. Naturally there are different light fixture designs. You also have to consider though whether you prefer uplights for more subtle illumination or downlights for direct lighting.

You can’t just pick your Hunter ceiling fans randomly. In order for you to get the right fans for every room, you have to give it careful thought and consideration. Start by thinking of the basic points given above.
