The Secret to Building a Business of Abundance

The Secret to Building a Business of Abundance

A pillar of living an abundant life involves the giving of yourself to others, knowing that you will be blessed in the giving. Another pillar is my personal mantra “You must give before you can receive.”

These basic, yet powerful pillars for “living a life of abundance” are directly transferable to building a business of abundance and attracting your ideal clients.

Highly successful businesses understand the value of sharing valuable information to (i) build client/consumer loyalty and (ii) turn clients into “raving” fans. This is most important for businesses that provide a professional service.

Do not be afraid to give away lots of free, valuable information to your target market. You will find that the more you give away, the more attention and desire for your services you will attract. Why? Because when you give away valuable information that helps relieve a pain, those in pain will begin to see you as a resource for relief.

When you are seen as a valuable resource, you gain a valuable opportunity to not only share free information but also let your audience know that you can help at a deeper, customized level via your paid services and programs.   Giving away valuable free information is one of the best ways to showcase the depth of information provided in your paid services.

Here’s the secret for effectively giving away information … be very generous in giving away valuable information about “What To Do”,then showcase your ability to walk your clients through the process of “How To Do IT” at a cost.

Before you start giving away valuable “What To Do” information, make sure that you have completed the following UpwardAction® Success Steps:

1) Become very clear about your unique strengths;

2) Clearly define your target audience, then go a step further and describe your ideal client in great detail;

3) Get clear about your ideal client’s pain and how your unique strengths will cure (or relieve) the pain;

4) Determine where your ideal client hands hangs out – both on-line and off-line;

5) Join your ideal client’s favorite communities, forums or associations (not all of them – just 2 or 3 will do);

6) Observe the conversations happening in the communities, forums or associations for a week or two;

7) Join in the conversation, making certain that every interaction provides value.

Have fun building your business of abundance and let me know if I can help you implement an effective business abundance program.

Expect the Best!

  1. I guess this is a movement coming from the inside to outside. Promote the Good before you promote what is good.

  2. i truly agree with your viewpoints. it is necessary to win the loyalty and gain confidence in a customer’s mindset, but I also argue that sometimes we must set aside the professional relations and make it a friendly relationship. A business owner must win some friends.

    A really nice article to read on. Thanks!

    when you tell us not to be afraid to share knowledge and expertise freely, i think that’s excellent advice. that way, you become known in the community as an expert on the subject, which reputation you can then leverage to grow your business. :)

    No doubt, we can’t make any business successful without all these aspects. Perhaps our behavior towards healthy businesses have been changed. We always want to earn and nothing else. I have been experienced this wonderful myth of spending and it is the most working aspect of a successful venture.

  6. This post hits the nail on the head for ultimate success. Giving away free valuable information is one of the most important aspects of marketing your business and “You Inc”. It should never be overlooked and you may not reap the benefits right away but down the road people start talking and then you have loyal customers and business partners.

  7. i always understood this to be a basic marketing tactic. however, i have read many of the most successful people believe in giving as in charity, not as in hopes of gaining loyalty.
