Bank of America is on board with birthing a new Compton. A brand new location just opened in the growing Compton Gateway Town Center, but this isn’t your typical Bank of America.
This is a modern state of the art facility that made my jaw drop upon entering. I literally had to pull out my cellphone to take pictures. I’ve been in many banks in many cities, none compare to this new Bank of America in Compton!
I was greeted by a friendly smiling staff and taken on a full tour by the banks manager, Juan Gamez. He took the time to show and explain the banks features. Have you ever been to a bank that offers free coffee, a nice clean public bathroom, a lounge area with books, and a safety deposit box area that you don’t have to wait for a bank staff member to open for you?
Have you ever needed to make a deposit using the ATM but there were no envelopes?
The ATM’s at this Bank of America allow you to make deposits without envelopes or deposit slips and your funds are available immediately!
These ATM machines are inside of the bank and are even accessible when the bank is closed. How do you get in to use the ATM if the bank is closed? Slide your ATM card to unlock the door, once you’re in the door closes behind you for added security. No more worries about going to the ATM at night!
This bank is structured with the customer’s convenience, comfort, and safety in mind! The grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony will be held on April 12th 2008 from 10-11am. Everyone who is anyone will be there and there will be special giveaways.
Juan Gamez and his staff are rolling out the red carpet for Compton residents. If you don’t already have an account with Bank of America, now is the time to establish one at this brand new branch. Tell them Marenda at Living Life Abundantly sent you to receive $25 for opening a new account!

***For those looking for mortgages heads up. Juan Gamez told me that the bank is offering a No Fee Mortgage Plus Program which enables customers to bring less to closing because the bank waives or pays the application fee, origination fee, appraisal fee, flood determination fee, tax service fee, credit report fee, lender closing fee, and/or the settlement fee.
This is great news for renters in Compton looking to purchase homes, especially considering the City’s ongoing Home Buyer Education Seminars. The next seminars will be on March 24th at the Compton CareerLink WorkSource Cente, 700 N. Bullis Rd. from 5:30pm-8:30pm. For more information call (310) 605-5593
