“I am frankly insulted that the Obama campaign would imply that we are so stupid that we would think Hillary and Bill Clinton who have been deeply and emotionally involved in black issues when Barack Obama was doing something in the neighborhood that I won’t say what he was doing but he said it in his book.”–Bob Johnson
Considering Bob’s contributions and involvement in black issues he should probably shut up and keep Barack Obama’s name out of his mouth!
Bob Johnson is not on my list of “outstanding citizens” or “respected leaders.” As far as I’m concerned he’s done more harm than good for the Black community with his claim to fame, BET (Black Exploitation Television).
While BET had a few good shows, the bad far out weigh the good! Thanks to Bob the first cable television network aimed at African Americans:
- perpetuates negative stereotypes
- promotes violence
- condones misogyny
- encourages materialism
- glorifies deviant behavior
The founder of BET’s political opinions, endorsements, and comments hold no weight here. Bob Johnson has no juice! In fact, I strongly believe that whatever and who ever he supports will not be in the best interest of the Black community. Bob Johnson is interested in his intere$t$. Look at his track record!
