Great tip! It's easy to get carried away this time of year and go over the top with packaging etc. It's important to step back and think about the important things in life like the environment sometimes!

Quite stylish and charming to use alternative wrapping especially if you add your own handmade gift tag, rustic string and raffia ribbon. I thought about trying rubber stamps to decorate papers. All that packaging that goes straight into the garbage from around the globe! It’s a wonderful idea, shabby chic is very fashionable too.

This whole gift wrapping thing is just a waste of resources. I hate buying gift wrapping paper, so I always buy gift bags now. you know, those pretty little bags with the little handles and tiny card attached.

And I buy ones with generic designs on them so that they can be used for different occassions. Like for christmas, I’ll buy ones with snowflakes on them, or solid red sparkly ones. That way they can both be used at other times. And I always ask the people that i’m giving the gift to, to reuse the gift bag.

The National Enquirer funny front page stories is always a fun way to wrap paper…or just put any gift in a victoria secret’s bag!
