My Letter to Santa 2007 Christmas List

It’s been a long time since I’ve done a Christmas list that was actually of things that I want not things that I want to buy for other people. This year I’m going all out. I figure Santa has gotten high tech so to make sure he gets my wish list I thought I’d post it here in the form of a letter. I’m certain he reads my blogs daily so there is no possible way for this to slip by him.

18222.jpgDear Santa,

I haven’t asked for anything since 1992. Its been 15 years that should count for something right? (smile). I tried emailing you but it kept bouncing back. I was wondering if you save letters and Christmas lists for future use? Every year I seem to get something that I asked for years before.

I thought it best I tell you to please hold off on the pony until further notice. I figured using the Internet would expedite the process and perhaps ensure that my 2007 list is actually processed in 2007.

Anyhoo, I know you’re really busy especially with all the toy recalls… I heard due to hard times you had to lay off most of your elves and do some outsourcing to China for toys. I’m sure the whole lead issue has thrown a monkey wrench in your plans.

Remember back in 1984 (I was in 4th grade) you brought me a collection of Judy Blume books? I’ve been an avid reader ever since. Perhaps books are a great alternative to lead filled toys this year (just a thought).

By the way, I know that you have become more health conscious over the years. Instead of milk and cookies, I’ll be sure to leave you healthy and nutritious snacks.

Here is my 2007 Christmas list in no particular order (I want everything listed) complete with pictures for your convenience:

P.S.

There’s a building that has been vacant for along time not far from my house. Here’s a picture, I’m sure you know the place:

empowerment center

Considering how the real estate market has been… I thought maybe you could pull some strings and get it for me. In our U Grow Girl meetings we’ve been talking about opening an empowerment center to provide community services.

Hilarious post! I love it. The whole part about the recalls was brilliant.

What a neat post. Very clever. I do hope you get all your Christmas gifts. No doubt Santa’s not getting Li’l Debbies and whole milk. Thanks for that, because I need him to fit down my chimney too.

  3. Hahaha..
Really nice lists of gifts you want to receive from Santa..:)

By the way, thank you for dropping by my blog..:)

  4. lol I agree with the Macbook pro that’s what I want to. It’d make blogging sooo much easier. Great idea for a blog post. I found you off blog catalog btw.

This is too funny and I’m totally gonna make a list for myself!!! With the baby coming and all the toy recalls, it appears I will have to make my own toys! Maybe by the time baby realizes his toys suck:) China will have gotten their act together!!

  6. Kitty says:

Haha great list, I’d take a kitchen make over myself too!

Nice one! ;) I’d go for the Mac, too…

  8. very nice post, I think the old fat guy owes me a few things from years past as well.

Wow! I knew it had been awhile since you made the wish list but I did not realize it had been since 1992. I guess you have been using the wrong email address. You can reach me at my new address: [email protected].

The toy recalls are a big issue. But we are just now ramping up our own Outsourcing facilities in China. You can rest assured that we will have the highest levels of quality controls. It doesn’t help that the elves are on strike but under no circumstances will we sacrifice quality. If you want to know more about our Outsource initiatives – or anything else going on around the North Pole for that matter – you can check it out at http://www.clauschronicles.blogspot.com

As for the milk and cookies… please stick with that. I’m staying fairly fit. I’m 15lbs lighter than I was at this time last year. And I just LOVE Milk and Cookies. An apple for the reindeer would be much appreciated as well.

I appreciate the effort you put into the list. I can’t make any guarantees. I can tell you that the longer the list, the greater the indication you may not get the true meaning of Christmas. We’ve been known to move some folks from the Nice List to the Naughty List simply because of the length of their “want list”. I’m just saying….

I hope you have a great Thanksgiving and a wonderful Holiday Season (too early to say “Merry Christmas”).

    Your friend,
    Santa
