Jobs for College Students

Sat, 1st September, 2007 - Posted by Marenda

Many college students work their way through school. The ideal job for college students pays well, has flexible scheduling, and the boss is cool. When I was in college nobody seemed to know where to find that job.

Now days a college freshman can go from broke to paid by thinking outside the box and using the internet.

I encourage college freshmen to expand their thinking beyond working for someone else by testing the waters of entrepreneurialism. Most people go to college in hopes of getting a good job when they graduate…but who knows…you might be looking to hire when you graduate.

Ever hear of these businesses all started by college students?

Why get a job when you can start your own business? Make your own schedule. Determine your own pay. You don’t have to come up with the next Google although that would be cool. Here are some ideas of things you can do to make money.

  1. Start a website
  2. Start a college e-zine
  3. Start a blog
  4. Start a calendar business
  5. Sell snacks and goodies
  6. Sell drop ship items on Ebay
  7. Fluff & Fold/Laundry Service
  8. Lawn Care

I think trying the entrepreneurial route is great for the right people. If you can’t find the right things for you could try this internship directory

As an entrepreneur myself, I can say that I could not work for someone else ever again. However, many people lack that certain drive to become their own boss.

It takes a very special type of person to succeed as an entrepreneur.

I am a senior student of university. As my work experience, I think consolidating our professional skill is as important as enlarging our knowlege.

A bunch of guys at our Fraternity in New Orleans have created a great survey directory that you can join for free and then sign up for hundreds of surveys. Its definately a way to make some extra money and it doesnt take as much time as a stupid job at the Lakeside mall. You could check it out and let us know what you think.

Its a good suggestion that you give. College students can have multiple choices to get temporary jobs. Especially in the internet. Just open your eyes, and you will see the opportunity is there. Happy searching…

Yes, things are pretty easy these days. College students can work while studying and can earn a lot of money.

Also, there are many local job sites when students can find jobs which makes it much more easier to find jobs while studying.
